England's First Public "Park"

Photo comment By carol roberts: I have been looking at your photographs with very fond memories. I was born in Arboretum place and would go on the Arboretum with my cousin and play conkers. My Grandparents lived there as well, I moved to Alvaston when I was two but went back to vivit my aunty and uncle every Saturday till the street was demolished. I recently went on a tour round the Arboretum and really enjoyed it. I am seventy this year but will never forget my beginning and the lovely memories I have of the place. Regards Carol Roberts
