Normanton Juniors The 1948-49 football line-up for Normanton Junior School, Derby. Back row: Les Hague, Tim Ward, Brian Hollies, Terry Jordan, Barry Saunders, Jeff Wildgoose. Front row: Roy Phillips, Clive Grant, Peter Newbery (captain), Dave Upton (goalkeeper), Eddie Moore. The captain Peter Newbery, went on to make five appearances for Derby County at centre-forward, scoring two goals, and also played for Burton Albion and Long Eaton United before retiring with knee trouble in 1966.
